Fees and Funding

Pinocchio's partnership agreement with local council means your child's grant funding can be used at Pinocchio's nurseries. This funding commences the first school term after your child's third birthday. In August, 20010/11 for example, one year's grant funding is £1,550 when using five sessions. Grant funding is available for children attending a minimum of two sessions. For more information please ask the nurser manager.

When do we qualify for a discount?

10% discount for full-time children

10% discount when you have two or more children attending Pinocchio's
(discount will apply to eldest child's fees)

10% discount is the maximum any child can receive

How many sessions should my child have?

To enable your child to benefit fully from Pinocchio's nursery environment, a minimum of two sessions per week is required.

Can we book extra sessions?

Extra sessions may be available on request if room numbers allow.

How do we pay?

Fees are payable monthly in advance by direct debit on the 1st day of the month. Accounts overdue by the 10th of the month will have a £25.00 surcharge added. By the 20th of the month a £50.00 surcharge will be added. Failure to comply will result in notice being served to remove your child from our care.

Holidays

The nursery is open 50 weeks per year. We close for 10 days. There is no charge when the nursery is closed. Monthly fees are calculated by taking the normal weekly sessions times 50 weeks, then divided by 12 months, to get your set monthly fees with holiday entitlement already taken off.

In 2012 we will be closed on the following dates:

Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd January
Thursday 5th April (Full staff training day)
Friday 6th April - Monday 9th April (Easter weekend)
Tuesday 25th December - Monday 31st December

Registration Fee?

For all children attending Pinocchio's a non-refundable registration fee is payable for retention of a place.

Full-time fee: £75.00
Part-time fee: £50.00

The registration fee not only secures the nursery place but also includes a two hour settling in session at the nursery.

Waiting List

As places are limited and to avoid disappointment, applications for places should be made well in advance of your required starting date. If the sessions you require are full, your child's name is put onto the waiting list. No registration fee is required for the waiting list.

Absence/Illness

Contact should be made as early as possible concerning any individual days of absence and relevant information with regard to illness is always appreciated. Fees remain payable.

Nursery Closure

There may be occasions where it will be necessary to close the nursery due to unforeseen circumstances. These will be due to outside influences that affect the daily running of the nursery and do not allow us to meet strict health and safety guidelines, e.g. adverse weather conditions, power failure etc - this list is not exclusive or exhaustive. In cases of adverse weather, the nursery may close early rather than for a full day, to allow service users to travel home safely. Fees remain payable.

Notice

It is essential that one month's notice be given in writing when taking your child from our care, alternatively one month's payment in lieu.

The company reserves the right to make changes to terms and conditions. We will notify you of any changes in advance.

Collections

Each child must be collected by their parent, guardian, or someone with the parent's written authority. If there is a change of pick-up we ask you to advise staff of the name and approximate pick-up times for security reasons. No child is allowed to leave with a person that is unknown to the nursery unless we have been advised. Staff will ask for the individual family password.
