Happy new year from all at Pinocchio's Nursery. The nursery will remain open throughout 2012 with the exception of the 10 days below.

Just a little reminder of our closure dates over the festive period. We are closed from the 24 December to 3 January 2012. We are then open again on 4 January 2012. We would like to wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. :-)

We are remaining open as usual. We are however staying up to date with weather reports as we may need to close earlier than anticipated. We are aware that police are advising only essential travel, therefore you may wish to collect your children earlier than usual. Please give yourself enough time to travel safely to the nursery to collect your children.

Potential strike on Wednesday 30 November - we are unaffected

Some staff in local schools may be planning to strike on Wednesday 30th November. Please be aware that this does not affect your nursery provision and we will be open for business as usual.

Our parents have been asking us for a recipe book for sometime now so we are now delighted to tell you that our recipe book is complete and available to buy. Each copy is priced £5, and all the money goes directly to the Sick Kids Friends Foundation. The book contains over 35 recipes that we make in the nursery and favourite baking recipes you can have fun making with your children.

Important measles information for parents

We have been asked to circulate this important information to you by NHS Lothian. There has been a recent increase in the numbers of measles cases in Scotland and the rest of the UK, mainly affecting teenagers and younger adults. Many of the cases have been associated with recent travel abroad especially to France. A number of current measles outbreaks have been reported from France, Belgium and Switzerland.
