The Nursery Building
The building was purpose-built for a nursery. The nursery is exceptionally bright and airy with four different rooms. The nursery has ample parking spaces to ease drop-off and pick-up times for parents.
The Garden
All children get the opportunity to play outside in our lovely garden safely and securely, which is great for growth and physical well-being. The garden has two separate areas, one for the older children, junior and pre-school, and the other for children from the baby and toddler rooms. There is a variety of equipment available for different ages and stages of development, which maximises fun and enjoyment for all the children.
The Baby Room
from 3 months; 1 adult: 3 children
Your baby is cared for with gentleness, affection and a great deal of attention to individual needs and your wishes. Our experienced staff keep careful records of observations which are passed on to you. Our plan is that your baby is taken out daily in the nursery pram for walks (weather permitting) all year round. Your baby will have the opportunity of taking part in many stimulating activities.
The Toddler Room
1 - 2 years; 1 adult: 3 children
A unique room created for the special age. Once your baby shows signs of out-growing the baby room, they will be gradually introduced to the Toddler Room. They will have their own programme of activities introducing sand, water and soft play. The world is full of new things to discover and experiment with. Staff are always at hand to closely observe and follow interests.
The Junior Room
over 2 years; 1 adult: 5 children
Children are guided gently through our thoughtfully planned day, and we ensure that they have an interesting and varied week. The staff have a weekly plan to ensure there is a rotation of construction toys and jigsaws. They plan the themes for craft, paint, gluing and play dough. The children enjoy storytime and singing. There is imaginitive play in the house corner in which children enjoy free play.
The Pre-School Room
1 adult: 5 children
Your child will have a placement in their pre-school year, sometimes children move up before this. A certain amount of time is given over to theme work and preparation for school. This is done with a light hand. There is much encouragement and individual attention, we have a qualified primary school teacher, and other qualified staff who will assess each child's individual development.
