Gilmerton Nursery Team
The Nursery Manager Kerryanne Tumulka and our dedicated and highly qualified team ensure that every day is fun, interesting and rewarding at Gilmerton Nursery.
Each play room has their own senior practitioner and qualified staff that support any of our staff that are in training. No matter how good the facilities, a nursery can only be as good as the team behind it.
All managers are supported by: being off ratio, chef/ and or kitchen assistant, cleaners each night, maintenance every weekend, as well as maintenance contractors when needed.
We provide apprenticeships and support candidates through their SVQ 3 Children’s Learning, Care and Development. We take pride in furthering our knowledge and understanding of child development and pedagogy and attend various training courses throughout the year to support this.
Our nursery chef, prepares healthy and nutritious meals for the children each day. She supports all dietary requirements and ensures the kitchen is clean and tidy, in line with food hygiene guidelines and standards.
Finally Katrina Weir our Operational Director visits all nurseries weekly, supporting nurseries with training and developing their teams, mentoring all Managers with day- to - day issues and sharing good practice.
