Lasswade Nursery Team
Lynn Baxter Nursery Manager, heads our team of Senior Practitioners and Practitioners. Our Senior Practitioners and practitioners are either HNC or SVQ 3 qualified. Our Baby room supervisor is currently undergoing her PDA Level 8 in Childhood Practice.
All managers are supported by: being off ratio, chef/ and or kitchen assistant, cleaners each night, maintenance every weekend, as well as maintenance contractors when needed.
We provide apprenticeships and support candidates through their SVQ 3 Children’s Learning, Care and Development. We take pride in furthering our knowledge and understanding of child development and pedagogy and attend various training courses throughout the year to support this.
Nicky our nursery head chef, prepares healthy and nutritious meals for the children each day. She supports all dietary requirements. Hazel our kitchen assistant ensures the kitchen is clean and tidy, in line with food hygiene guidelines and standards.
Finally Katrina Weir our Operational Director visits all nurseries weekly, supporting nurseries with training and developing their teams, mentoring all Managers with day- to - day issues and sharing good practice.
